Swaps We want to encourage people to reuse as much as possible and avoid waste. One way to do this is to encourage people to swap food and other items that they do not need but which can be used by others. Food swap We have now had three autumn food swaps. People brought along their surplus fruit and vegetables as well as home made cakes and jams and swapped them. Around 30 people came to the event in September and enjoyed a successful event. Seed & Seedling Swap In April 2011 we held our second seed/seedling swap giving people the chance to swap and share their vegetable seeds and seedlings ready for the new season. The next one is on 22 April 2012 at the new allotments opposite Gordano School. Farmers Market We have a stall at the farmers market on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00am until 12:00, where we sell green garden bags and compost bins, have food swaps, book swaps, and promote our events. Come along and have a chat.
